Operations

Artifice runs on a loop system: standing working areas, each with its own brief, all coordinated from the AFXHQ workspace.

The loops

• Programs - chapters, exhibitions, ENTER, production
• Operations - governance support, scheduling, team structure
• Development - fundraising, grants, partnerships
• MarCom - communications, press, social
• Intelligence - research, SPACES, the meetings record
• Sandbox - experiments and drafts that are not ready for the record

Finance and Books

Monthly categorization and reconciliation per entity, a monthly P&L, quarterly estimated-tax worksheets, and the annual Form 990 package. Nothing is filed, sent, or paid without the Executive Director's approval.

Grants

The standing Grants loop tracks the pipeline, deadlines, and drafts. The canonical tracker is the Grants Tracker; filed applications and outcomes are logged there as they happen.
