Programs

Artifice NYC is a curatorial research organization. The program architecture runs as one canon:

RADAR finds it, ENTER understands it, WHITEBOX / BLACKBOX works with and tests it, INDEX follows what it becomes.

The Chapter series

Each Chapter pairs two modes:

• WHITEBOX - the physical mode: walls, space, matter. WHITEBOX exhibits matter.
• BLACKBOX - the digital mode: screens, systems, moving image. BLACKBOX performs systems.

Artifice explores the two together as the translation of the artifact, in either direction: digital to material, or material to digital.

• Artist lock: Jan 15, 2027
• Anchor artifacts are sponsor-led at $15-25K each; the sponsor aligns with a domain and the curators choose the artist

The editorial layer. ENTER 11 is the November edition, releasing Dec 1, 2026, built on the MUTEK Montreal experience.
